Difference between a 2025 and 2032 Battery..
The 2025 and 2032 Batteries are those thin flat round batteries that were very common in computers and maybe some watches. They are also in some garage door remote controls. I remember using the 2032 many times before.
My garage door remote died today so I changed the battery, I had a pack of 2016, 2025 and 2032 batteries, and didn’t even think which to use, I just took out the old one, it looked like it was the same size as a 2032, so I put in the new one, and it worked. I did notice that I needed to use pressure to put the back back on, but didn’t think too much about it.
When going to throw the old one out, I saw it had 2025 on it. I had used a 2032 as replacement.
The 2025 battery is 2.5mm deep and holds a capacity of 160-165 mAh
The 2032 battery is 3.2mm deep and holds a capacity of 225 mAh
The difference is that the 2032 is a bit thicker, explaining why it was harder to close the remote, but it will also last longer. The old 2025 just lasted me at least 2 years, so the 2032 should last me at least two and a half years.
The 2016 battery is 1.6mm deep and holds a capacity of 90 mAh. Putting two of those in, one on top of the other, might also work. I will try that next time, as I have two of those in the pack.

If you were to put two CR2016 batteries in place of a CR2032 or CR2025, you would double the voltage. Probably not a good idea. I’m guessing most devices wouldn’t work, and some might get fried.
