Dates of Prorogues in the UK Parliament..

The period between the UK Parliament being prorogued has averaged 429 days, in the 31 prorogues between 1980 and 2017.

As at 25th September 2019 there has not been a valid prorogation for 881 days.

The longest period between a prorogue, before the 2019 one, was in 2012 when the Prorogation was from 1 May 2012 for 8 days and was 754 days since the last prorogue, in 2010.

The shortest period between a prorogue was in 2010 when the Prorogation was from 8 Apr 2010 for 4 days and was 147 days since last prorogue, in 2009.

The longest Prorogue in that time was for 21 days in 2014, from 14 May 2014 to the State Opening on 4th June 2014.

The shortest Prorogue in that time was for 4 days in 2015, from 26th March 2015 to the Dissolution on 30th March 2015 and the State Opening on 27th May 20015.
