US President Donald Trump has tweeted that Bahrain is the second Arab country to make peace with Israel in the last 30 days.
Jared Kushner, Donald Trumps son-in-law, is largely credited for the brokering of the two recent agreements, with Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
Bahrain is the fourth Arab country in the Middle East to recognise Israel.
2020 Bahrain – Israel Treaty
This agreement was confirmed on 11 September 2020.
2020 UAE – Israel Peace Treaty
UAE and Israel will sign the Israel – United Arab Emirates peace agreement, (Abraham Accord), in the United States on 15 September 2020. This agreement was confirmed on 13 August 2020.
1994 Jordan – Israel Peace Treaty
Jordan and Israel signed their Peace Treaty at the southern border crossing of Wadi ‘Araba, on October 26, 1994. It was signed by Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Jordan’s Prime Minister Abdul-Salam Majali.
1979 Egypt – Israel Peace Treaty
Egypt and Israel signed their Peace Treaty in the United States on 26 March 1979. It was signed by Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin, and witnessed by United States president Jimmy Carter.
