Can Frozen liquids be taken on overseas flights?
Whether you can take frozen fluids through airport security can depend on the country you are flying from, and their rules on the subject.
Examples of Frozen Water on Flights.
Australia: Frozen liquids cannot be legally brought through security, as the state of the substance is considered at room temperature.
United Kingdom: You cannot usually carry frozen items in your hand luggage, for example liquid, food or ice packs. Exceptions might be allowed for medical or baby items.
United States: Frozen liquid items are allowed through the checkpoint as long as they are frozen solid when presented for screening. If frozen liquid items are partially melted, slushy, or have any liquid at the bottom of the container, they are considered liquid.
