  • 5,288,935 South West – 23,829 sq km – with 222 people per sq km
  • 5,283,733 Yorkshire and the Humber – 15,420 sq km – with 342.7 people per sq km
  • 4,533,222 East Midlands – 15,627 sq km – with 290.1 people per sq km
  • 2,596,886 North East – 8,592 sq km – with 302.2 people per sq km
  • 53,012,456 England – 130,395 sq km – with 406.6 people per sq km

Population Density

England has a Population Density of 406.6 people per sq km
The London Region has the highest Population Density with 5,199.7 people per sq km.
The South West Region has the lowest Population Density with 221.95 people per sq km.
