Her parents, the Duke and the Duchess of York, gave her the names Elizabeth Alexandra Mary.
She was born at 17 Bruton Street, Mayfair, London, the home of the Duchess of York’s parents.
Her father became King George VI on 11 December 1936, and he died on 6th February 1952.
